In October 2015, the Independent Schools Inspectorate came to visit us. The conclusion they came to in their assessment can be summed up in one word: Excellent.
I am delighted to share with you our successful ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) report following a Regulatory Compliance Inspection in February of this year. The report confirms that the Foundation has met every condition of inspection and remains fully compliant with the Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014, relevant requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and associated requirements.
The full report is available to download here. You may notice a marked difference in structure and language to that of previous reports, with a focus on compliance with regulations and a lack of grading structure. The report is brief and simply states that we have met all the required standards.
Under the new inspection framework we would expect our next visit from ISI to include a judgement on educational quality with a focus on achievement and the personal development of our pupils. More information about the different types of inspection can be found here.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all of those involved in making this inspection successful: to the students who made such a positive impression on the inspection team; to the staff who work tirelessly to ensure that our schools are safe and happy environments in which to work and study, and to the parents for their overwhelmingly positive comments on the inspection questionnaires.
Finally, I would like to express my appreciation for the support of the Governing Body under the guidance of its Chair, Dr Gillian Sutherland.

Rated 'excellent' across all eight areas:

"From an early age, pupils are confident and aware of the needs of others, and their behaviour is exemplary."
“
“Pupils achieve at a high level and make excellent progress. They develop an enjoyment for learning … Pupils feel motivated and enthusiastic.”
“
The report also noted that “membership of the Stephen Perse Foundation has resulted in a number of positive changes.”
Naturally we are delighted to have an independent acknowledgement of the quality of the education we provide at Dame Bradbury’s.
"Teaching across the school is of a high standard and often inspiring ... The high level of personal development in the school is due in no small measure to the excellent pastoral care given by the committed staff, who know their pupils extremely well. They provide pupils with a warm, family atmosphere."
