Reception will visit the Sedgwick Museum in Cambridge to enhance their learning for this half term's topic 'Long, Long Ago'. They will take part in a 'Dinosaur!' workshop to explorehow scientific ideas about life in the very distant past have changed; using dinosaur fossils to investigate how our understanding of dinosaurs has changed over time and how we interpret fossils by looking at the characteristics of animals that are alive today. After lunch, they will visit the Zoological Museum before returning to school.
