Year 10 students at the Stephen Perse Foundation have been invited to visit the Amazon Cambridge Development Centre after winning drone design competition.

Eight Year 10 students have been selected to participate in a project day at the Amazon Cambridge Development Centre after winning their design competition. They had to design a new type of drone to tackle a specific problem, such as a humanitarian crisis. The winning entries included devices for quick dropping of essential supplies to victims of natural disasters, and a search drone to find people in remote areas using a range of smart technology.

These students will now have the fantastic opportunity to visit the Amazon Cambridge Development Centre on Tuesday 27 November, and will be helping to create a new prototype of a skill for the Amazon Alexa.
