The Cambridge Camera Young Photographers' Competition results

It was with great enthusiasm that Year 6 Photography Club members started preparing entries for the Cambridge Camera Club Young Photographers' Competition, back in the Spring Term. Having been inspired by previous years’ successes, the club members of 2017-18 were not to be outdone! Each week they diligently brought photos to be critically evaluated by their peers. Helpful comments and suggestions were willingly shared and listened to, demonstrating their collaborative skills.

We were delighted that club members entered the competition and thrilled that six of them received special recognition for their entries. We extend congratulations to the following pupils:

Abigail – Highly Commended for ‘Popcorn Explosion’

Yuxi – Highly Commended for ‘Lost’

Alexey – Highly Commended for ‘Vampire's Sip’

Jonathan – Highly Commended for ‘Sunset in Iceland’

Nick – Commended for ‘The Wishing Tree’

Olivia – Commended for ‘Fir Trees for Fairies’

Club members, accompanied by Mrs Vagh who runs the club, visited the Camera Club exhibition in The Pitt Building on Monday 30th April and were really pleased to see their entries on display, along with many other photographs of a very high standard.
