Dame Bradbury's raise over £600 for the Ruth Strauss Foundation

Published on 31/01/20

With a focus on healthy lungs, Dame Bradbury set to on a mission to raise awareness of rare lung diseases to support The Ruth Strauss Foundation.

House Captains  AJ, Anna and Bertie led the activities confidently and rallied around making sure fun was had by all. Andrew Strauss, founder of the Ruth Strauss Foundation in memory of his wife, launched the day with a video message and remained a presence as children tried to bowl out our own Cricket stars! Supplementing this physical action were sleep pods and breathing classes which were welcomed by more children than we predicted; but who wouldn’t want to curl up in a cosy nook on a chilly day?

At least three children genuinely paid money and fell asleep! Staff were mightily impressed by the creative array of healthy snacks and enjoyed their judging campaign. An amazing total of over £600 was raised and gratefully received by the charity. A huge thank you to everyone involved!
