The House of One Hundred Clocks

Published on 27/02/20

Children at Dame Bradbury's were treated to a wonderfully entertaining talk by local author Anne Marie Howell whose latest novel, The House of One Hundred Clocks, has been published recently.

With her novel set in and around Cambridge, Anne Marie told us about both the inspirations behind the book - from her love of owls to a trip to the science museum and the collection of clocks she saw there - and her journey to being an author. She spoke of her love of books from an early age, and the teachers and family that influenced her writing journey. School librarians were lucky enough to spend some extra time with her as well, showing her our wonderful library at Dame Bradbury's as well as having the chance to ask her lots of questions close up! Thanks to Anne Marie for spending some time with us and for signing the many copies of her book purchased by our eager young readers in school.
