'Digging Down' in Year 1 assembly

Published on 13/12/18

Dame Bradbury's Year 1 pupils present their findings on the topic of 'Digging Down'.

Year 1 pupils at Dame Bradbury's wowed the staff and parents with their amazing year group assembly. The children put in a huge amount of effort to learn two songs, a poem and lots of lines, as well as to record their fantastic green screen dramatisations. Year 1 taught us all about their ‘Digging Down’ topic, which ranged from Howard Carter’s discovery of Tutankhamen to studying the rock cycle. They also shared lots of interesting facts with us about different religious festivals that happen around the world at this time of year. It was a fantastic end to the week and the children should all be very proud of themselves!
