On Wednesday 4th October 2017 Dame Bradbury's U11 girls football team took part in the USSP district tournament.

Drawn in the middle section the girls put in three great performances to win their group beating Henham and Ugley 4-0, Takeley 4-0 and Great Chesterford 1-0.

In the semi finals the team faced Felsted and were still locked at 0-0 at full time following a very even match. As the prospect of a penalty shoot out loomed Isabella Kimberley scored the decisive goal from a tight angle to win the game.

In the final, Dame B's came up against very talented opponents in St Thomas Moore.

The team put in an excellent performance and defended resolutely with goalkeeper Bella Galloway making some great saves including a fantastic penalty save. Unfortunately with minutes remaining the teams resistance could not last with a great strike from St Thomas Moore's stand out player breaking the deadlock. The game ended with Dame B's losing 1-0. It was a fantastic afternoon of girls football and the team should be very proud of their performances.
