Sikhism Day collaboration with Dame Bradbury's, Madingley and City Reception
This half term, the Dame Bradbury's Reception have got to know their Madingely and City friends a little better. As part of their understanding of similarities and differences families, communities and traditions, a fantastic collaboration Sikhism Day was planned in which they (and Bessie the Travelling Bear!) learnt about the key elements of the Sikh faith such as the 5 K’s, the Khanda, the Gurdwara and Guru Nanak. They made a Mala bracelet, covered their heads to enter a Langar kitchen and even enjoyed a picnic in the sun before returning to Dame B’s.
